Our steel doors are the strongest in the industry.  How strong?  Our top-of-the-line products are made of 20-gauge rolled steel.  That’s the thickest residential steel door on the market.   Thicker steel means no dings or dents, better insulation and enhanced security.    You won’t find the same quality doors at the Big Box stores.   Most steel doors at Lowes and Home Depot are made with 24-gauge or 26-gauge steel.  They might look similar on the outside but they won’t hold up nearly as well.  If you’ve ever seen a cheap steel door after a year or two, you’ll know what we’re talking about.

Another important feature on our steel doors is the heavy-duty hinging system.  Our heavy-duty, ball bearing hinges are specially made to handle the weight of a well made 20-gauge steel door.  Our customers rave about how “light and easy” our doors are to open and close.  Better quality hinges make the difference. 

Steel doors come in two types of finishes.   Flat steel doors mimic the look of a well-sanded wood door.  Grained steel doors have a pattern embossed on the surface that will look similar to a deeply grained oak wood door.
